LETS TALK ABOUT BIG GOALS

Image
LETS TALK ABOUT BIG GOALS   Sometimes back on a morning, i was thinking of some of my big goals and (just like you) I became overwhelmed.   “How can I possibly go through all these, to move from here, to there?” Just a few minutes after thinking, something came to my mind; Why worry about years to come?   Why worry about several months to come? Why even worrying about next month?   Decide on what you have to do now, today and tomorrow and be disciplined to do just that.   Do what you should do, daily, just daily, to move closer to your goals, and years to come will take care of itself.   This is an example. Let’s assume you are earning Ksh.50,000 per month now and you set a goal to be earning Ksh.1,000,000 per month a few years from now.   If you look at the distance between where you are and where you want to be, it will be overwhelming and seem impossible, then, you will be discouraged and give up.   Don’t!   I...

IGNORANCE CAN LEAD TO SUCCESS

Image
IGNORANCE CAN LEAD TO SUCCESS How many people have you heard say one of these sentences? “I had this brilliant business idea, but someone discouraged me about it.” “I wish I had worked for myself and not stayed employed all my life.” Or even, “I have so many great ideas but other people’s views keep discouraging me.” There are many things that can stop someone from starting a business. But listening too much to other people`s views and over analyzing the idea are the worst two things that can keep you stuck at the starting line.   Have you ever asked yourself why many smart people are employees instead of entrepreneurs? Smart people are good at digesting complex matters and finding solutions to the most challenging problems in the world. However, when it comes to entrepreneurship many of them are perennial failures. So, how comes they don't they use their incredible brain power to their advantage? Smart people know all reasons why something won’t work. For ...

THE KIWI FRUIT FARMING BUSINESS IDEA THAT MIGHT MAKE YOU CONSIDER EARLY RETIREMENT

Image
THE KIWI FRUIT FARMING BUSINESS IDEA THAT MIGHT MAKE YOU CONSIDER EARLY RETIREMENT There are very few markets where demand exceeds supply. One such market is for Kiwi fruits which, despite being a relatively new idea in Kenya, has taken the market by storm.  There are very few farmers who have gotten wind of its valued benefits and you can take advantage of this loophole to make a timely investment. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to go about it. Step 1: Acquire or Lease a Piece Of Land Kiwi vines grow well in areas with adequate rainfall and well drained soil. Think about areas that are neither too wet nor too dry and preferably with red soil which tends to be well drained (unlike black cotton soil). For example Uasin Gishu, Nakuru, Western Kenya, some parts of Kajiado, warmer parts of Central and Nairobi areas.  You can start out on a 1/8 th piece of land which can be leased at Ksh.5,000 per year or bought for Ksh.500,000. Preparing the land will cost you an extra...

CAN SNAIL FARMING IN KENYA MAKE YOU RICH?

Image
CAN SNAIL FARMING IN KENYA MAKE YOU RICH? Are you looking for an alternative profitable agriculture business idea in Kenya? In this article, we will explore snail farming in Kenya. Heliciculture or snail farming, is the process of raising edible land snails, primarily for human consumption or cosmetic use.  The meat and snail eggs can be consumed as escargot and as a type of caviar respectively.  Their Mucus, or the snail slime, has medical properties and is widely used in cosmetics. Wangui Waweru has been breeding and farming snails since 2018, starting with 37 snails. This number has grown over the years. Her first encounter with snails was when she was on a business trip in Uganda, buying clothes to sell back home. As fate would have it, she met the person who introduced her to snails. On a bus to Kenya, Wangui was sitting next to a Cameroonian man.  As they chatted, the man offered to share his meal with her and she accepted. Once they had finished eating, the ...

THE OLD-SCHOOL SAVING HACK THAT STILL WORKS

Image
THE OLD-SCHOOL SAVING HACK THAT STILL WORKS There is this saver our fore fathers invented. They usually build it with wood, metal or clay soil. Everywhere will be covered, except a little opening you can use to pass money inside. You may get one of these local banks and start dropping some extra cash inside. At the end of a year when you open this “bank”, you may be surprised at how much you have saved. You don’t need a high-tech app, a fancy investment platform, or a financial advisor to start saving. Sometimes, the old-school method is the most effective — especially when it’s simple and discipline-based. 🪙 The Local “Bank” — Also Known As: Piggy Bank Kibuyu ya Akiba Clay Pot Bank Wooden or Metal Box Bank It’s a traditional savings tool that worked for generations — and guess what? It still works. Because it removes temptation. 🛠 How It Works: A sealed container (no opening except a small slot). You can put money in easily. You cannot take money out without breaking or unlock...
